Your education is one of your strongest cards early on, so keep it clean and easy to scan.
Where it goes
Near the top while you are a student or recent grad. As you gain work experience, it slides down below your experience.
Your degree
- Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems
- University of Pretoria, 2022 to 2025
- Relevant modules: only if they match the job
Strong marks? Add an average or note distinctions. Average marks? Leave them off and let your projects talk.
Matric
Keep it to one or two lines:
- National Senior Certificate, Bachelor pass
- School name, year
Once you have a degree and experience, matric shrinks to a single line. You do not need every subject and mark from school.
